Cookie Dough Brownie Bombs

Look no further friends, all you need is right here. Today’s epic recipe combines cookie dough and brownies into one, gigantic, uber indulgent, beautiful BITE. And a “bite” is basically just a big ol’ truffle, so these are perfect for those holiday dessert plates for neighbors and friends!



Do these cookie dough brownie bombs look familiar? They should, because they’ve been blowing up Pinterest for quite a while thanks to my friend, Hayley aka The Domestic Rebel. Her signature cookie dough brownie bombs are, of course, a star recipe in her recently released cookbook, Out of the Box Desserts!

I’m a little late getting this post up than I had originally intended to be– I meant to tell you all about these delicious little bites and this fabulous cookbook months ago!! Because ohmygosh you need this book!!! Seriously. I think you all know how I feel about any dessert at all that comes with a shortcut, and this book is full of them!

But this book is so much more than grand box mix shortcuts. It’s full of wildly creative and indulgent creations like Glazed Donut Pie and Cookie Truffle Brownies as well as delicious classics like Best Banana Cake and Maple Walnut Blondies.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • pinch salt
  • 1 cup miniature chocolate chips
  • 1 - 9x13 pan of brownies, baked and cooled
  • 12-16 ounces chocolate melting candy (like Wilton's, Merkens, or Ghirardelli)
  • 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together the butter, brown sugar, sugar, milk, and vanilla.
  2. Mix in the flour and salt until dough forms. Mix in the 1 cup miniature chocolate chips.
